I need to watch this entire show, because what I’m seeing isn’t making much sense to me.
I wonder if it makes any sense to Jesus. I think “sword” and “bomb” can be used interchangeably.

wow. you’re right in wanting to get right context of this blurb within an entire show, but i’m not sure how else to interpret this. if he’s talking about romans 13 in regards to the role of government then i think he’s way off base. regardless of what he meant, it still sorta broadcasts the idea of christian-backed wars being okay, that everybody else is evil but we’re the ones right God.

The context didn’t help him at all… I think he just made a handful of loaded statements that were pretty ambiguous too… and that sucks because he’s the mouthpiece for the Christian community these days. I don’t think he said much that will shock people though. “An eye for an eye” makes all sorts of sense, it just isn’t the way of the new life Jesus invites us to.
