I saw this article on AZCENTRAL.com about a church in my hometown donating 11,000 shoes to the poor on ONE weekend, just by asking everyone that came to leave their shoes. The article says that 75-80% of the people that came participated.
Brilliant idea.
Don’t let them think about it. Don’t give them a flier, or a website to go to later that day. Or a bag to fill. Just give them a quick and easy way to make a difference. Websites are great, fliers are great, bags are great… but this was the better idea.
