Lindsay and I are hopping on a plane next Monday and heading to Westerville, Ohio for Christmas. I look forward to this every year. I married into a pretty awesome family, which makes the holidays a whole lot better! I know some guys and girls who married into, um, less-than-awesome families. Every family has a Cousin Eddie.
“Can I refill your eggnog for you? Get you something to eat? Drive you out to the middle of nowhere and leave you for dead?”
One of my favorite things to do in Ohio is NOTHING! I hardly ever have downtime in my everyday life, so this week of nothingness is something I look forward to all year! I’ll spend a few afternoons at the Panera across the street with my bottomless cup of coffee, next to the fireplace with a book.
What are YOU doing for Christmas? Are you traveling, staying home, or a little bit of both?
My poor wife got the short end of the stick when she married into my family… way to many things i could list. I on the other hand have a 2nd mom.. and for that I am thankful.
This holiday we are staying put. Just enjoying our first house, and having everyone over to our place. I am tired of running around all over for christmas. So this year we will be switching it up.
i still cant believe that christmas is 10 days away..aggghhhh.
Seems like Christmas should be SOONER! They started playing Christmas music in stores, on the radio, and everywhere else sometime around Halloween!
Hope you guys have a great Christmas, Adam. I know this year has been brutal for you guys.
Sadly, I’m working every day around Christmas except Christmas day. Not completely looking forward to it. Kind of ruins Christmas a bit. Looking forward to New Year’s though 🙂
Sorry to hear that buddy! I would be doing the same thing if I wasn’t on vacation. Holidays are sometimes a whole lot different for church workers.
